quitOH.ca is not a faceless app. Behind it is a community pharmacy on Main Street in Vancouver and independent BC clinicians who believe alcohol care should be as easy to reach as any other kind of health care.

Carebridge Pharmacy sits at 101-4484 Main Street in Vancouver. Its pharmacists spend their days doing what community pharmacists do: checking prescriptions against PharmaNet, untangling insurance coverage, answering questions without judgment, and noticing when someone needs a little more support than a label on a bottle.
quitOH grew from a simple observation in that pharmacy: many people quietly struggle with alcohol, effective medications exist and are recommended by Canadian guidelines, and yet very few people are ever offered them. Stigma, waiting rooms, and not knowing where to start keep people stuck. An online, private, low-pressure pathway removes those barriers.
Who does the clinical work
Assessment and prescribing are performed by independent physicians and nurse practitioners at partner clinics who are licensed in BC and located in BC. They exercise their own clinical judgment, bill MSP directly for eligible residents, and are not employed by or financially entangled with the pharmacy. Carebridge's pharmacy staff review your file, arrange your assessment with a partner clinic, and then handle dispensing, coverage checks, delivery, and pharmacist follow-up. The clinicians can assess adults anywhere in Canada; BC residents with MSP pay no visit fee, and a private fee applies elsewhere. You will be told which clinic and clinician you are being connected with, and you may fill any prescription at any pharmacy you choose.

- Evidence, honestly presented. We follow the 2023 Canadian guideline for high-risk drinking and alcohol use disorder (CRISM and BCCSU), the APA 2018 guideline, and the VA and DoD guideline, and we tell you plainly where evidence is strong and where it is limited.
- Privacy is a form of care. Data stored in Canada, plain packaging, discreet contact, and your choice about who else knows.
- No shame, ever. Nobody arrives here on their best day. The service is designed so that reaching out feels like relief, not exposure.
