Pricing and coverage, stated plainly
Money worries should never be the reason you avoid finding out your options. Here is exactly what costs what, and who pays.
The clinician assessment
BC residents with MSP
No visit fee. The licensed BC physician or nurse practitioner bills the Medical Services Plan for your assessment, the way a regular doctor's visit is billed. You pay nothing for the assessment itself.
MSP covers the clinician's assessment. It does not cover the cost of medication, which is separate (see below).
Outside BC, or without MSP
Our partner clinicians can assess adults anywhere in Canada. If you live outside BC, or live in BC without MSP, the assessment is not covered by MSP (and not by other provincial plans) and a private assessment fee applies. The exact fee is being finalized and will be published here before you are ever asked to pay anything. You will always see the full amount, in writing, before committing.
A private fee is never presented as MSP-covered, and an MSP-insured assessment is never billed to you privately.
The free check is genuinely free
The first step, the 5-minute private check, has no cost and no payment step for anyone, with or without MSP. No credit card field exists on it.
Medication costs
If a clinician prescribes medication, the medication cost is separate from the assessment. Here is how it usually resolves:
- Private drug plans. Many workplace and private insurance plans cover these medications, often leaving a modest copay.
- PharmaCare and provincial plans. BC PharmaCare may help with eligible medications for eligible BC residents, depending on your plan and deductible. Other provinces have their own drug plans with their own rules; the pharmacist can help you check.
- Paying directly. Without coverage, these medications are typically modest in cost compared with many prescriptions. The pharmacy will quote you the exact price before dispensing anything.
Before anything is dispensed, the Carebridge pharmacists can check your specific coverage and tell you your actual out-of-pocket cost. No medication is sent without your go-ahead.
What we will never do
- No subscriptions, memberships, or bundled refill programs. You pay for what you receive, when you choose to receive it.
- No urgency tactics, countdown timers, or limited-time offers. Health decisions deserve calm.
- No incentives for filling your prescription at Carebridge. You may use any pharmacy you like, and your care here does not change if you do.
- No overstating coverage. If something is not covered, we say so before it costs you anything.
Delivery and pickup
Delivery from Carebridge is free anywhere in British Columbia, in plain, discreet packaging. Pickup is available at 101-4484 Main Street, Vancouver. Neither option costs extra. Outside BC, staff will confirm whether discreet delivery to your province is possible, or transfer the prescription to a pharmacy near you at no charge.
Questions about your situation? Call Carebridge Pharmacy at (604) 876-6410 or email [email protected] and ask for a confidential coverage check, or start the free private check and ask your questions in the intake. Either way, you will get numbers, not vagueness.
